Help the foreign migration worker to have a happy and equal life through practical actions

Foreign migration is a part of Taiwan, and we want to see people in Taiwan have a happy and equal life. Through practical actions, both sides are no strangers.

I saw that on the bustling streets, the migrant workers pushed the wheelchairs of the elderly, and we seemed to get used to the existence of migrant workers. Looking at the labor disputes reported in the news and the relevant policies implemented by the government? The figure and rights of migrant workers are like saplings, rooted in our lives, in our hearts.

We are a group of Taiwanese high school students who created Open Box because they want to see everyone who lives in Taiwan have a happy and equal working environment. We hope that through practical actions, we will no longer be unfamiliar with the distance between employers and employees.

Open Box, in fact, really refers to a Box. In this box, we will let the migrants choose to airmail back to Taiwanese food in his/her hometown, and then pay for the food by their employer. But before this action, we will first ask the employer to agree, go to their home, come to the interview, talk about the story of migrant workers, hometown, family and so on. In addition, we will update the new information from time to time on the specialties, as well as related policies on foreign transfer rights and news related to migration. Then, we will also hold lectures and seminars to let more people change the stereotype of foreign migrants. First, we will have a deeper understanding of the story of migrant workers and our Open Box project !

And the money we raise will be used to buy boxes, pay for international postal services, and the cost of the team members to pay for the task (because the employer’s home is unlikely to be near our residence, so Will arrive through the transportation network), gift fees (such as: buy a few cups of coffee for employers and migrant workers)
