Identity VerifiedI am a 2-year-old girl, I have Difficult Epilepsy
Control, due to a brain malformation.
Currently, I am taking 6 medications and my seizures do not stop. There are more than 30 seizures a day. They have done many studies on me; my file is kept at the Center for Epilepsy and Human Functional Neurosurgery. Leaving my parents 2 options for how damaged my brain is according to the result of my Brain PET:
1. Implement a Vagal stimulator that can help reduce crises and improve my quality of life, however, the stimulator costs $36,960 + the approximate operating cost. Q50 thousand to Q75 thousand. With a waiting time of three weeks after paying for the stimulator. Waiting for my body to accept it.
2. Brain Operation, Hemispheriotomy, completely disconnecting the right side of my brain with an invasive and very risky operation, with an uncomplicated cost of Q150 thousand, leaving the left side of my body without function among other consequences
