This project has finished.
Nice to meet you! My name is Mohamed Latif and I'm from Casablanca, Morocco!
I would like to help people living in villages in the Atlas to survive during winter!
Atlas is a huge mountain range that covers much of northern Africa.
During winter, in spots where the altitude exceeds 3,000 m, the temperature drops to -11 degrees. It is also common that many village get isolated due to the snow.
Many people living in those villages have to spend all winter without a heating way.
They just can use wood and animals to warm themselves, and they don't have enough money to get proper winter clothes. That's why I would like to collect some funds to help them!
Winter is getting worse every year.
Last February there was a heavy snow that affected more than 1200 little villages, that got isolated. Roads were impassable and villagers couldn't feed their cattle and they also lost their crops.
The received aid from the government but it wasn't enough.
I've been saving money for a long time to be able to support these people.
I'm willing to get winter clothes and survival stuff to donate to people of the area especially to elderly and children.
Basically what they are needing is proper shoes, blankets and preserved food.
We need $1,200 to run this iniciative. I've already saved $500, so I would like to raise $700! Thank you for your support!
I will use my own savings and the collected funds to get blankets, shoes and food and donate it.
January and February are the coldest months of the year, so I would like to raise funds before then, so they can be prepared for this winter.
People living in these little villages in the Atlas will really appreciate your help! Thank you very much!
