Story
Hello
My name is Michelle Anne Ferrer, you can call me Mitch. I'm a mother of two, living at Manila, Philippines.
My husband is working as a food delivery rider. This is our picture with our sons:
My youngest son, Paul McKenzie Ferrer Garcia, 6 months old, borned on February 20, 2019 is having a rare cardiac disease: Hyperthropic cardiomyopathy
So, Kenzie's heart muscles are abnormally thick, that makes it hard for his heart to pump blood.
We knew about his disease when on August 4, 2019 he was admitted to a hospital for pneumonia. After 4 days under treatment, doctors decided to refer us to a cardiologist as they notice that my sons heartbeat is faster than the usual heartbeat of his age.
Under X-ray his heart appears enlarged. The cardiologist performed 2D echo and saw that the left part of his heart’s wall is already thick. So he was diagnosed with hyperthropic cardiomyopathy.
He is so young. The diagnoses were really shocked us, because it can't be cured. Now we have long term challenges, as well as short challenge to pay his hospitalization at the moment. Kenzie is currently admitted in Metropolitan Medical Center Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.
My cousin asked me to make an account on Airtripp so that anyone with a kind heart could help us.
The funds that we will raised here will be a big help for us to pay partially our 300,000 pesos hospital bill. It is a huge amount, we can't afford to pay it from our own pocket. My husband is a food delivery rider and I am a stay home mother. I have no income, so being here is my valuable effort to help my son.
No matter hard we try, there's still a possibility that we couldn't meet the target funds. But every small support will still be a very big help for us. We will keep looking for the way.
Hoping that you can help us in your small way
Paul McKenzie Ferrer Garcia, passed away on Friday afternoon, September 27, 2019. We would like to continue the fundraising so that it will help us to pay the hospital bills and funeral bill.
Thank you so much for your attention and support.
I would be happy if you could use the [Help by sharing] button to share about my project!
