Aiming for studying Nursing Science in my country!

Nice to meet you! My name is Chukwu Emmanuel Emerald am from Ebonyi state, Nigeria.

I want to become a nurse and make come true my dream of being the first person to attend a higher institution in my family!

I want to study Nursing in University

Honestly, I would love to study nursing in Canada but as it's really expensive I have applied for admission in an university in my country. Maybe, after my first degree then I will apply for work and study in Canada to further my education!

I really love all medical professions. I believe if I become a nurse I will save my family from poverty and help my younger siblings to study. Also, I will help medical practitioners in my country fight some diseases that seem incurable.

My family can't support my school fees

I am from a very poor background.

No one in my family has been able to attend a higher institution. My parents are poor farmers and their monthly income is very low. Most of the money gotten from the odd job they do are used for feeding the whole family.

Since I finished my senior secondary school in 2015, I noticed my family will not be able to fund through higher institution so I decided to learn a skill, so I learnt tailoring. I just finished my apprenticeship and have started working.

Through the work I was able to raise money I used to buy a sewing machine, register for Joint Admission and Matriculation Examination, register my younger ones in school. I'm also studying hard remembering my studies.

I will use the funds to pay for my studies, as it's indicated below:

・School fees 1370$

・Acceptance fee 7$

・Portal charges 7$

・Hostel fee 1096$

If I can make this dream come true I know that a bright future is waiting for me.

If everything goes well, I will pay the tuition fee on January of next year and start studying in Nnamdi Azikiwe University of Awka.

Even if I don't reach the target I will keep doing my best in order to fulfill this dream in the future. I will keep working and studying hard towards my educational dream until it is actualized.
