I am traveling to Japan for a Underwater Hockey competition.

Hi everyone! Nice to meet you!

My name is Ernest, and I am from Malaysia!

Currently, I'm playing underwater hockey as a sport. I would like to raise some funds that could make possible my trip to Hiroshima, Japan. The purpose of my trip to Japan is to participate in a tournament, Underwater Hockey Oyster Cup, that will be held at Hiroshima University.

Underwater Hockey and Me

Questions on what sport I played is haunting me recently, as I have became physically and emotionally fitter than last time they seen me... and the answer is undeniably: Underwater Hockey.

I started to play underwater hockey actively since last January, and I became a happier and healthier person since then. (If you want to know, I was 137 kilogram last January and currently my weight is 114 kilogram when I am writing this) :)

I would really like to promote this game to everyone since it has brought me so much benefits.

The reason behind my trip

There will be an underwater hockey tournament called "Oyster Cup" that will be held from 31st of august until 1st September 2019 in Hiroshima.

This will be a good chance for me to improve my own skills and my team skills. I want to improve my game play by joining a higher level game and challenging team that have world level play. This will be a very precious tournament to gain experience and prepare myself for the selection of Southeast Asian Game(SEA games) in December 2019.

But, the journey from my town to Hiroshima, Japan, is very expensive for me at this moment as I am just a freshly graduated student from university. So, I would be really thankful for every help I could get!

I will participate on Oyster cup!

As everyone know, the travel expenses for travelling overseas are not cheap. But I'm definitely going to participate in this tournament with all of my might!

I don't want to miss this chance! I want to go to Hiroshima with my team mates and definitely improve ourselves.

It might be hard if I burden my parents with this expenses, so that's why I'm raising funds on this project. I do have my own saving, but this saving has to be used for my PhD study. I want to avoid taking from my study saving as much I can.

Details on needed funds

I would like to raise $1.200, that detail of usage is :

Participation fees to Oyster Cup- 60 USD

Flight ticket to Fukuoka - 500 USD (Round Trip)

Train ticket to Hiroshima- 180 USD (Round Trip)

Transportation - 100 USD

Food and accommodation- 300 USD

Schedule

All of the collected funds will be used directly for the tournament registration fee, buying plane tickets and for accommodation. I will go to Japan on 30th of August and I will be back to my country on 4th of September. During my stay there, I will learn a lot with Japan team, so I will be able to improve our team play to qualify to join SEA Games of 2019.

In case I can't receive enough support, I have to delay my PhD study and use my study saving to participate on this tournament.
