In Colombia, We live difficult times at the labor level for petroleum engineers because of a significant imbalance between the number of graduates versus the number of vacancies that the industry can generate year by year which implies a high percentage of newly graduated engineers without exercising their career in The country this day.
In this context, experiencing what it means not to have an opportunity in the oil sector, I developed a technical work focused on the analysis of the necessary competencies that should be reflected in a petroleum engineering professional. Additionally, I developed a digital tool, to focus future professionals on the real needs that the industry is currently demanding.
My work was accepted to appear at the most important congress worldwide of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), the Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition (ATCE), which brings together the best research and developments in the Oil & Gas sector, and which will have place in Calgary, Canada, this year in the month of September. Currently I am linked to the laboratories of the Industrial University of Santander, however, I do not have enough support. Therefore, I want to ask for your support to travel and represent the country in this great event.
I would be happy if you could use the [Help Sharing] button to share about my project!
