I want to build a shelter for dogs!

Nice to meet you! My name is Lizeth and I live in Panama!

My dream since long ago is to build a shelter for dogs!

Stray dogs in Panama

This is a very important problem in my country: there are many stray dogs.

Panama's government in conscious about this problem and it's taking different measurements to control the number of stray dogs and pets, like castration.

There are some facilities that are taking care of these animals around the country, but not in my vicinity.

The closest one is 200 km away, and as I love dogs I would like to build a shelter for them in this area.

Dogs are our best friends

I love dogs since I was a little girl.

I always had dogs as a pet and learnt from them how loyal and wonderful friends they be.

When I find a stray dog, I feel really sorry about it.

I would like to take them all to my house and take care of them, but that's impossible.

I already have a space to use it to build the shelter

I have already secured the site planned to be a stray dog protection facility.

It's a place received from my grandmother and I think I could prepare it to be able to let many dogs stay there, but I would need funds to be able to do it.

Not only the space, dogs needs many other stuff, like food, medication to heal their wounds, shampoo, etc.

Details on needed funds

I would need $1,000 to be able to start purchasing the food, medication, etc, and to prepare the space I already have, plus my own savings. I would be very happy if you can help me save many stray dogs!

Schedule

As soon as I receive enough funds, I will start getting everything ready.

I think that I would like to have a space for 50 dogs at least, and I will do my best to receive a lot of help from volunteers and other people that love dogs like me!
